The musical will be directed by Anurag Basu and the soundtrack will be composed by Pritam. The 32-year-old partnership formed in 1990 with Aashiqui, between the T series and Vishesh films, continues with their new project, Aashiqui 3. Producers Mukesh Bhatt and Bhushan Kumar are set to be united for the much anticipated third instalment of the Aashiqui franchise with director Anurag Basu.
The music will be scored by Pritam and the film will star Kartik Aryan in the lead. The team began the collaboration on a positive and spiritual note by seeking Ganesha’s blessing during Ganeshotsav.
The Aashiqui franchise that revolved around love and relationships with some great music has remained in the hearts of the audience to date.

Aashiqui was the first film in the Aashiqui franchise and the film was released in 1990. Rahul Roy, Anu Agarwal and Deepak Tijori were seen in the lead roles in this film. The music of the film Aashiqui was composed by 90’s legend duo Nadeem-Shravan and its lyrics were penned by legend Sameer. It was from this film that India got a big company like T-series and 90’s legendary singer Kumar Sanu also started his career from this.
